Hydroxyapatite Powder — Dental Regenerative Biomaterial
- High-purity synthetic hydroxyapatite identical to natural bone mineral
- Osteoconductive scaffold for predictable bone regeneration
- Sterile, ready-to-mix powder for clinical use
- Biocompatible integration with host tissue
Overview
Engineered for dental care.
BioApta Hydroxyapatite Powder is a sterile, synthetic bioceramic composed of pure hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2), chemically identical to the mineral phase of natural bone. Designed as a high-purity osteoconductive scaffold, it supports predictable bone regeneration, stabilizes defect sites, and helps preserve anatomical structure following dental procedures. It is supplied as a fine, sterile, ready-to-mix powder for clinical use in regenerative and endodontic dentistry.
BioApta acts as a bioactive structural scaffold for new bone formation. Its composition closely mimics natural bone mineral, allowing gradual integration with host tissue while maintaining stability of the treated site. It does not function as a drug or antibiotic but enhances natural healing through biocompatible bone regeneration support. For dental professional use only.

Details
Full product information.
- Socket preservation following tooth or wisdom-tooth extraction
- Filling of alveolar bone defects and osseous voids
- Augmentation of extraction sites with periapical bone loss
- Supportive material in root canal treatment of teeth with periapical lesions
- Management of periodontal and endodontic bone defects associated with granuloma or abscess
- Acts as a bioactive, osteoconductive structural scaffold for new bone formation.
- Closely mimics natural bone mineral, allowing gradual integration with host tissue.
- Maintains stability of the treated site throughout healing.
- Enhances natural healing through biocompatible bone regeneration support.
- Assess the patient with radiographic evaluation, rinse with 0.12% chlorhexidine, and administer local anesthesia as required.
- Perform atraumatic extraction or canal preparation depending on indication, then thoroughly debride and irrigate the site.
- Mix BioApta powder with sterile saline or distilled water to form a smooth paste.
- Apply using a sterile spatula, carrier, lentulo spiral, or syringe depending on indication, and lightly pack to the desired level without over-compression.
- Restore and close the site according to standard dental protocols.
- Provide post-operative care: prescribe antibiotics/analgesics as needed, maintain a chlorhexidine rinse twice daily, avoid disturbing the site for 7 days, recommend a soft diet, and schedule follow-ups at 3 and 6 months.
- Hypersensitivity to calcium phosphate or hydroxyapatite materials
- Active local infection or untreated purulent lesions
- Severe systemic conditions affecting bone healing (e.g., uncontrolled diabetes, bisphosphonate therapy)
- Strictly for professional dental use only
- Do not use in infected or inadequately debrided sites
- Maintain strict aseptic technique during handling and application
- Ensure complete debridement of infected tissue and adequate hemostasis before placement
- Avoid overfilling or excessive compression of the material
- Avoid smoking and alcohol during the healing phase
- Any persistent pain or swelling requires clinical reassessment
- Store at 15–25 °C in a dry, light-protected environment
- Keep the container tightly sealed until use
- Dispose of unused or contaminated material as biomedical waste per local regulations
Shelf life: Up to 24 months under recommended conditions
